Farm Lane Construction

Farm Lane is currently closed to pedestrians and vehicles from Mt. Hope Road north to Wilson Road. Also closed are the intersections of Farm Lane and Service Road, and Farm Lane and Trowbridge Road. Service Road is closed from the MSU Laundry parking lot (Lot 88), east to the Lewis Landscape Arboretum parking lot (Lot 101). Trowbridge Road is closed just west of Farm Lane, through the intersection. The commuter lot (Lot 89), on the corner of Mt. Hope Road and Farm Lane, will remain open at all times during construction. However, pedestrians, vehicular and bus traffic will be prohibited on Farm Lane during construction.

Football Saturday Information

"7/9/1" Tailgating Times

When kickoff is set for 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. tailgate lots will open at 7 a.m.

If kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. tailgate lots will open at 9 a.m.

For evening games, lots will open at 1 p.m.

Football fans are encouraged not to come before these times as traffic lineups will not be permitted.

Open Container Ordinance

All fans are reminded of a the "open container" ordinance, adopted by the MSU Board of Trustees.The ordinance bans open containers of alcohol on campus and in all public areas of campus buildings.

However, on home football game days, enforcement of the ordinance will be suspended on campus for those of legal drinking age, during the hours parking lots are open for tailgating. Munn Field remains alcohol-free, as do the pedestrian areas immediately adjacent to Spartan Stadium as well as all public areas of campus buildings. Remember, open containers of alcohol are always prohibited on public roadways.

You can keep the campus beautiful by parking in designated areas only and disposing of trash properly. Celebrate responsibly. If you plan to drink, use moderation and look out for your friends. Tailgating should be fun and safe.
